The War of the Worlds

The Name of the Rose

A thrilling murder mystery set in a 14th-century Italian monastery.


John Turturro as a very Sherlock-like Franciscan monk William of Baskerville and Rupert Everett stars as the dark force that is Inquisitor Bernard Gui in this lavish, critically acclaimed, adaptation of Umberto Eco’s bestselling medieval whodunit.

Baskerville is called in to investigate a series of gruesome murders amongst the Benedictine brotherhood.

While the 1986 film version, starring Sean Connery, became a box office hit, this gorgeously filmed eight-part TV version is truer to the original novel and has more depth in it's plot development, making it a thoroughly entertaining and deeply intriguing watch.

Dad's Army: The Lost Episodes

Remake of the classic BBC sitcom starring Kevin McNally, Kevin Eldon and Mathew Horne, faithfully recreated from Jimmy Perry and David Croft’s original BBC scripts.

Britain's favourite sitcom, Dad's Army, ran for 80 episodes over nearly ten years on the BBC and is regularly repeated. But three of those episodes were lost many years ago and haven't been seen since 1969.

Kevin McNally stars as Captain Mainwaring, with Robert Bathurst as Sergeant Wilson, Kevin Eldon as Corporal Jones and Mathew Horne as Private Walker.
