John Virtue - London (DVD)
190833
Director Jake Auerbach presents a unique insight into the works of John Virtue. John spent the best part of 20 years as a rural landscape painter. Initially this meant he spent a lot of time in isolation; first in the North of England and then also later in Devon. However, in 2002 the National Gallery came calling and he decided to paint the capital city. That project took over two year to complete. This film follows the artist and includes witnesses like Lord Rothschild and Charlie Gillett.
