Abbas (Eriq Ebouaney) now lives in France with his two young children. Still recovering from the loss of his wife who died during their escape, Abbas strikes up a relationship with florist Carole, who welcomes Abbas and his two children into her home in Paris.

However, despite her hospitality, Abbas's situation remains perilous as he awaits a response to his application for political asylum.
