German war drama, Behind Enemy Lines is a gripping and powerful account of The Second World Cinema War, inspired by a true story. In October 1941, a group of German soldiers are forced to take refuge in a small Russian village behind enemy lines, where the only remaining inhabitants are women, children and the elderly. As Lt. Markus Wenzel (Lars Doppler) tries to re-establish a line of communication with his superiors, his men are welcomed into the village, with many forming relationships with the female citizens. However, its not long before an act of violence threatens to destroy the bond between the two parties, with many of the villagers still fearful of what will happen to them when the Soviet army inevitably returns.
