While living an impoverished life in Moscow, Anna Poliatova is scouted by KGB recruiter Alex Tchenkov and trained as an assassin.

Working undercover as a model in Paris, under the watchful eye of her handler Olga (Helen Mirren), Anna is approached by the CIA to become a double agent and kill the head of the KGBin exchange for her freedom.
