Vanessa Redgrave and Timothy Spall lead the cast in this biographical drama about the renowned English artist L.S. Lowry.

The drama centres on the inspiration he finds from his industrial surroundings and the difficulties he faces in his personal life as he cares for his ailing mother, Elizabeth. Lowry endures constant criticism and negativity from her, as he struggles to prove himself as a serious painter.
