The action is set in the 14th century and unfolds around a bustling tavern, where Chinese rebels receive intelligence about the arrival of despotic Mongol warlord Lee Khan

Ruthless Mongol ruler Lee Khan travels to the rural inn with his sister Waner in order to obtain a map that will reveal where the rebel Chinese insurrectionaries are based.

However, their arrival sparks a tense stand-off between forces loyal to Khan and those who wish to see him overthrown.
