Exhausted Special Forces operative Lieutenant Erling Riiser returns home to his family in Norway on break from his tour of Afghanistan. 

24 hours after his return, he receives a mysterious message from a comrade from Afghanistan. A womans life is in danger, and he is ordered to kill the Afghan man that has her.

After saving the womans life, he soon finds it was not his acquaintance that sent the message. Riiser must find out who sent these orders to kill, and why he is being used as a hitman. 

No longer able to trust anyone, Riiser finds he has landed in the middle of a complex killing game with political consequences. 

Nobel first aired to critical acclaim when it was shown on Netflix in 2016, praised for placing a gripping conspiracy plot at the centre of a social and political commentary on the rarely told story of Norways involvement in the Afghanistan war.
