John Malkovich stars as the enigmatic Belgian detective Hercule Poirot, in a lavish BBC adaptation of Agatha Christie’s 1939 thriller about a serial killer.

Set in London,1933, Hercule Poirot is older, slower and visibly greyer and is no longer in the public eye.

When he starts to eceive anonymous letters threatening murder, he approaches Scotland Yard, but is gracelessly ignored. He has no option but to take matters into his own hands.
