Terry Jones (1942-2020)

Monty Python founder, Terry Jones, has died aged 77. As well as being the driving force behind the unorthodox and wildly unconventional sketch show, Terry went on to direct three of the Python’s blockbuster films: Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Life of Brian and The Meaning of Life.

With fellow Python Michael Palin, he went on to create another comedic hit, Ripping Yarns. As well as his genius talent for comedy, Terry was also an expert in medieval history and he made numerous TV documentaries on the subject.

But to many he will always be known as Brian’s mother. “He’s not the Messiah. He’s a very naughty boy.
