Journalist Lloyd Vogel is asked to write an article about heroes, and assigned with the task of interviewing the much-loved broadcaster Fred Rogers, star of Mister Rogers' Neighborhood.

Struggling with problems in his personal life, Lloyd doubts the authenticity of the kindly presenter, but when he seizes the opportunity to get Fred's opinion on his family issues, he begins to see what everyone else sees in Mister Rogers.
