Filmed in Japan, Sam Fuller's 1955 Crime Noir tells the tale of a US army operative sent undercover to Tokyo to investigate suspicious gang activities.Â
Eddie Kenner (Robert Stack) is an undercover US army operative sent to Tokyo to investigate a series of crimes.Â
A group of American expats are robbing US military ammo and supply trains, and worryingly using military tactics to do so.
They appear to be a ruthless gang, killing not only troops and the police that get in the way of their actions, but also their own wounded that might slow them down.Â
Kenner must gain the trust of ex-solider Sandy Dawson (Robert Ryan), who now heads up the gang, in order to infiltrate and investigate their actions.Â
