Documentary that explores the German air attacks on the United Kingdom during the early part of WWII.

The Blitz (coined from the German word for lightninging war – Blitkrieg) resulted in the killing of over 40,000 civilians, and more than a million houses destroyed in London during Germany's mass air attacks against Britain.

Using archive footage and interviews with those who lived through it, the film gives insight into what it was like to witness the bombings and how ordinary people managed to survive.
